What This Means

SPM Is ControlQore's Go-To Implementation Partner

ControlQore is the job costing and WIP platform SPM uses for every client. Every SPM engagement includes ControlQore setup, configuration, and ongoing management. Clients do not need to learn the software -- SPM runs it. The platform is purpose-built for construction subcontractors doing $1M-$12M and more capable than QuickBooks for job costing at a fraction of the cost of Sage or Foundation.

ControlQore pricing: approximately $100/month per $1M in revenue. A $5M subcontractor pays roughly $500/month for the platform. SPM manages the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance -- no technical knowledge required from the client.

Why ControlQore

Why Not QuickBooks, Sage, or Foundation?

01

QuickBooks Can't Do This

QuickBooks is a general ledger. It can track job expenses by customer but it cannot produce a real WIP schedule, track cost-to-complete by phase, or align job cost codes to your estimate structure. Most subcontractors hit the QuickBooks ceiling between $2M and $5M in revenue.

02

Sage and Foundation Cost More

Sage 100 Contractor and Foundation Software are purpose-built for construction but priced for larger companies. Setup costs run $10K-$30K. Monthly fees often exceed $1,000. For a $3M subcontractor, that cost structure doesn't work. ControlQore delivers the same core functionality at a fraction of the price.

03

ControlQore Is Built for This Band

ControlQore is purpose-built for commercial subcontractors in the $1M-$12M range. AI-infused, cloud-based, and designed around the financial reporting sureties and banks actually want to see. SPM has configured it for 18 trades and knows exactly how to set it up for yours.

Questions

Straight Answers

ControlQore is a cloud-based job costing and WIP reporting platform built specifically for construction subcontractors. It tracks actual job costs against estimated costs by phase, produces monthly WIP schedules, and generates the financial reports sureties and banks require. SPM uses it for every client in the $1M-$12M range.

For job costing and WIP, yes. For general accounting functions like AP, AR, and payroll integration, ControlQore works alongside your accounting system. Most SPM clients run ControlQore for job cost and WIP and continue using QuickBooks or a similar platform for general ledger functions -- SPM manages both.

Setup is complete within the 60-day SPM onboarding period. By day 60, cost codes are configured, your first jobs are loaded, and the monthly WIP reporting cycle is running. You do not need to do anything technical -- SPM handles the entire setup and configuration.

Approximately $100/month per $1M in revenue, billed separately from SPM fees. A $3M subcontractor pays roughly $300/month. A $6M subcontractor pays $600/month. No setup fee. SPM manages the platform -- the client never has to log in if they prefer not to.
