What is Davis-Bacon and who does it apply to?
The Davis-Bacon Act requires payment of prevailing wages on federal and federally assisted construction contracts over $2,000. It applies to contractors and subcontractors on covered projects — setting minimum wage rates by trade classification and geographic area via published wage determinations.
How does SPM handle Davis-Bacon vs. state prevailing wage laws?
Federal Davis-Bacon and state prevailing wage laws follow similar structures but have different rate schedules and compliance requirements. 60 days. We migrate your books to the start of your last taxable year, set up ControlQore, and build your job costing structure. Fully operational in two months.
What software do clients use?
ControlQore. All SPM clients run on ControlQore for job costing and WIP. We set it up and manage it — you don't have to learn it. Clients switching from QuickBooks, Sage, or other platforms migrate during onboarding.
